PTI announces to contest election of NA Speaker

PTI has announced to contest the election of Speaker of the National Assembly. 

Talking to newsmen in Islamabad on Thursday, PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Shafqat Mahmood would be the candidate of the party. 

The seat had fallen vacant after deseating of Sardar Ayaz Sadiq by election tribunal. Ayaz Sadiq has again been elected from the same constituency in the by-elections.

Meanwhile, MQM MNAs have submitted application to the Acting Speaker for withdrawal of their resignations.










Party's Senators are already attending sittings of the Upper House.
